Description
Inspired by a favorite song of mine by Miranda Lambert, “Bluebird In My Heart”, I was surprised to find a Charles Bukowski poem with the same title. They both speak to me of keeping a spot in your heart for happiness to live, regardless of your circumstances. A place you can return to time and again.
Starting with collaged materials on a canvas board, I added water-soluble crayons and acrylic paints until I was satisfied that there would always be a bluebird in my heart, or at least in my paintings.
