These are definitely difficult to find on Lido Beach. Their fragile shell doesn't always survive the pounding of the Gulf of Mexico waves, even though the waves often appear more of a ripple than a wave. Painted during the 2018 30 Paintings in 30 Days, this painting is one of my many Gifts from the Gulf.
With a love of life, animals, and all things natural, this self-taught artist expresses life in paintings that seem to fall off her brush. When she started painting n watercolors, she used a limited palette, but the addition of acrylics to her wheelhouse has allowed her to cajole, charm and explode her palette, whether working in watercolor or acrylic. Her paintings reside in private and public collections, and have been juried into national and local shows where she has received prizes. Honestly believing "art" is a verb, her mission in life is to encourage the creativity in everyone and to pass on kindness in her "Kindness Matters" program.
