Artist's Description

Intuitiving selecting hand printed and drawn collage pieces to glue down (including a paper doily), I then spend some time looking for the story in my piece. In this case, I also added some Stabilo woodie crayon marks. The hummingbird emerged from the doily, reminding those of us in Southwest Florida that “Hope is the thing with feathers.” Emily Dickinson

About Diane Wallace

Diane Wallace

With a love of life, animals, and all things natural, this self-taught artist expresses life in paintings that seem to fall off her brush. When she started painting n watercolors, she used a limited palette, but the addition of acrylics to her wheelhouse has allowed her to cajole, charm and explode her palette, whether working in watercolor or acrylic. Her paintings reside in private and public collections, and have been juried into national and local shows where she has received prizes. Honestly believing "art" is a verb, her mission in life is to encourage the creativity in everyone and to pass on kindness in her "Kindness Matters" program.
